The College of Agricultural Sciences Photographs were taken or assembled by College staff and faculty to document the Oregon State University's academic and research programs in agriculture; Branch Experiment Stations in Oregon; faculty, students, and alumni; international programs; and special events, conferences, and workshops. The bulk of the images are b/w prints and color slides; the collection also includes nitrate and glass negatives; some film negatives; and a few color prints.

Arrangement

The collection consists of two subgroups: 1. Individually Numbered Photographs and 2. Unnumbered Photographs.

Subgroup 1 includes 8 series: I. Glass Negatives of Crops and Plants, 1892 - circa 1900; II. Photographs taken by Emile Pernot, 1913; III. Kasetsart University, 1953-1960; IV. Experiment Stations, Visiting Groups, and Individuals, circa 1931-1975; V. Oregon Dairy Manufacturers Association, circa 1941; VI. Agricultural Chemistry Department Faculty and Staff, circa 1950-1970; VII. Nye Computer Center Dedication, 1983-1986; and VIII. Photographs separated from College of Agricultural Sciences Records, 1933-1965.

Subgroup 2 includes 6 series: I. Ag Appreciation Dinner, 1989; II. Awards Reception, 1988; III. Students, Faculty, and Alumni, circa 1950-1991; IV. E.R. Jackman Foundation, circa 1910 - circa 1995; V. Experiment Station Buildings, 1977; and VI. Academic Programs, 1980-2001.
