The "Is Einstein Right?" by Christian Gauss is good but so scholarly I fear the people of the "Village Square" on whose decisions Einstein says our representatives in New York, Paris or Moscow, depend - will never read it.
When I read "What is called for" -- I thought "now a definite plan," but he continued with - "is a frame of reference against which the validity and permissible limits of human conduct must be judged." I think he means we have to have new standards of conduct. Villagers should learn to understand such scholarly comments (the word "dehydrated" keeps occurring to me!) but I really don't think they will soon enough. Very truly yours, Edna Pierson
