Dear Friend and Colleague in Sanity, (it is thus I address my friend D. Shapley who returns me this greeting in a galaxy of stars).

  This is to assume you that I am committed up to capacity in any way to promote the Science of Human Welfare; as I called it in my man the Indivisible, published 1937, and my Christmas postal this year - an amalgamation of the sciences, physical and social, about the age-old amalgamation of vested interests.   Determined to hold and [illegible] at any cost to the uninterested " - as the only, way to ensure," sanity, survival, synthesis without sterility " - 
  I belong to the military political organizations - American Labor Party, Progressive Citizens of America, Congress of American Women - People's Lobby, Nation Associates - 
  I belong to the organizations resembling the Emergency Committee:  Joint Anti-Fascist Refugee Committee, Society for the Preparation of World War III,  American Friends of Czechoslovakia, American Committee for Yugoslav Relief & American Soviet Friendship - and of course I am a supporter and publicizer of American Russian Institution -
  Finally, as a former member of Free World and Americans United for World Government, as a lone ranger not endangering the very existence of these organizations in this New Germany, arsenal of the Atomic Bomb.  I "needle" constantly the rulers of the U.S. in such uncompromising terms - and insider my organizations I advocate more militant and slow-down measures, including preparations to keep the channels open between people of our ill insider Europe -
