964 Second Avenue New York 22, N.Y. June 4, 1948.

Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists 118 Nassau Street, Princeton, N.J.

Gentlemen:

I am sending the enclosed check to cover the pledge I made the evening of the dinner tendered to Dr. Condon. I requested you to bill me after May first. Instead of a format statement I received a very courteous letter with Professor Einstein's signature and I sincerely regret that I have been obliged to postpone the payment until today.
As I wrote once before, I am profoundly grateful to Professor Einstein and, indeed, to all of your Committee, for your strenuous efforts to spead abroad the important information and warnings concerning our immediate danger in the face of the present World situation and the traitorous activities of some of our prominent citizens.
            Sincerely yours,
             (Mrs.) E.H. Tyndale.
