DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS NORTH DAKOTA STATE COLLEGE FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA

Feb. 28, 1948

Prof. Albert Einstein Princeton, New Jersey

Dear Dr. Einstein:

I am enclosing a check for ten dollars that is intended for your Committee. It was sent as a result of a very nice program broadcast over station WDAY here in Fargo, by the outstanding local announcer Ernie Brevik. As you can see from the enclosed material, the script was written by Glenn Flint. Those two men seem to work together very well. They received quite a few telephone calls, some telegrams, and about fifty letters of response--- from housewives, mostly; the program is broadcast at eleven AM and I think is intended largely for them. Incidentally, the radio boys followed this up by one or two announcements concerning the same subject---our problems with atomic energy. Possibly you will be hearing directly from some of the listeners.
I must not forget to tell you that a number of churches have taken up in a very strong way what they call "The Push for Peace." I am going to be on a number of programs ---mass meetings, togther with a religious leader--- after a few exploratory meetings, it is intended to organize mass meetings in many scores of communities... We are hoping to see other states consider such possibilities. I will keep you informed.
            Yours truly,
               D.Q. Posin

Dear Miss Ray - Maybe Dr. Einstein will be glad to know about this -- I got the pamphlets.
