Dear Mr. Einstein: I am offering a rather humble contribution to your fund for your campaign of education to ensure that atomic energy will be used for the benefit of mankind and not for humanity's destruction. I served in the war just ended, and miserable though it was, I real-ize that another war with atomic weapons would be of manifold great-er horror and destruction. I am glad to do my small bit.
