June 18, 1948 Dear Sirs, After waiting quite some time for a bill with reference to our pledge at the testimonial dinner to Dr. Condon, we enclose a check for our contribution. May we take this opportunity to criticize your over-polite, almost lax method of taking a collection. The emergency of these times calls for more high pressured pleas for funds. Sincerely, Marvin & Laura Mausner
