Lasater Ranch Falfurrias, Texas August 19, 1947 Dr Albert Einstein, Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists, Room 28, 90 Nassau Street, Princeton, New Jersey. Dear Dr. Einstein: Enclosed is our contribution in the amount of $50.00 toward the work of the Committee of Atomic Scientists. Your group is doing a splendid job and, as we all know, an essential one. We are forwarding to the Corpus Christi Caller in Corpus Christi the two statements enclosed in your letter, one entitled "The Last Hour Before Midnight" and the other entitled "Statement of the Lake Geneva Conference of Scientists". For our future information, are all newspapers supplied with these releases or should we continue to forward releases stop our local papers as we receive them from your Committee. We would appreciate receiving duplicates (2 each) of the two releases which we have just forwarded to the Corpus Christi papers. Sincerely yours, Tom Lasater Tom Lasater TL: HR
