Attention: Dr. Albert Einstein, President
Dear Sir:
At the present critical juncture in world affairs, there is no more important or urgent moral and educational campaign than that undertaken by your Committee. The spiritual leaders of America, particularly those in the literary, journalistic, radio, cinematic, educational and religious fields, should be enlisted in this great movement. As an educator, I am willing to do whatever I can. I am sending a contribution of $5 through the Jewish Teachers Community Chest and will pledge an additional $5 later.
I suggest that a special appeal be made by your group to the following educational organizations:- National Educational Association, 1201-16th St., N.W., Washington, 6, D.C. Department of Elementary School Principals of the NEA 1201-16th St., N.W., Washington, 6, D.C. Miss Eva G. Pinkston, Executive Secretary
The latter organization held a conference last summer at Syracuse University, on the function of the Elementary School in strengthening world organization. It was attended by teachers and administrators of thirty-eight States of the Union. They were intensely interested in the problem and eager to do something about it. I am enclosing a mimeographed copy of an outline of a seminar I conducted at this conference.
I am sure your group is planning to enlist the active support and cooperation of all existing groups that are friendly to your great enterprise.
Sincerely yours, Isidore Kayfetz Isidore Kayfetz Principal
