Gentlemen:
Mr. Edison Dick desires to make an additional gift to the Emergency Committee by the transfer of securities, and to insure that it should be out of his hands and a completed gift in 1947 I have received the gift and receipted for it on your behalf. I therefore enclose herewith Certificate No. CCO35252 for 34 shares of the common capital stock of Montgomery Ward & Company registered in the name of Edison Dick and endorsed by him in blank,
I should appreciate it if you would ratify my action by endorsing your approval on the copy of the receipt which I have given, signed by your appropriate officer, and issue a receipt to Mr. Dick as of today.
