My dear Mr. Einstein,
I have had the opportunity to read a letter signed by you, asking for contributions to the cause of carrying "to our fellow citizens an understanding of the simple facts of atomic energy and its implications for society." Enclosed you will please find my check for ten dollars. I do hope for a speedy realization of "an informed citizenry that will act for life and not for death."
Most sincerely yours, (Miss) Helen L. Foster
