Dr. Albert Einstein, Chairman Emergency Committee on Atomic Research New York, N. Y.

Dear Sir:

Thank you for the invitation to participate in the world peace efforts of your organization. The self-addressed envelope and form you sent me have been misplaced so I am using my own stationary, and hope that the address I have given is sufficient.

I am enclosing one dollar to cover expenses in writing to me. I would send more but I am obligated to pay a tithe of my salary--which is not large--to the church to which I belong. When this and other donations are added to taxes, I have barely enough left to meet current expenses.

In connection with a world government, I would like to give you an idea of the scope of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which I am a member. You are fimiliar, of course, with the prophet Daniel's interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar' s dream, wherein he states:

"In the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever."

T he nucleus of that kingdom was established in 1830 with the organization of the Church and Kingdom of God has grown from a membership of six to nearly one million at the present time. This church advocates peace, as Christ did, decreed hath made a full end of all nations." I am not a fatalist, but I believe that the prophets of the Lord were and are inspired of God.

The government of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is composed of a combination of democratic and theocratic principles designed to enable all mankind to fulfill their highest possabilities. All truth, whether scientific or otherwise, is accepted by this organization.

I recommend for your investigation this Divinely inspired plan of world government, which is in the process of fulfilling the declaration of the prophet Danial. I shall be happy to furnish you with further information or you may write to the Bureau of Information, Temple Block, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Yours sincerely,

John H. Young
