If we have finally been shocked into the terrible necessity of cooperation, then this terrible weapon is a boon to progress in the world.  Truely the scientific man has now outstripped the social man.  Now the social science of living with our fellow-man, must be developed at tremendous speed and with awe-inspiring thoroughness.  
  We are grossly unprepared for the task ahead of us, and we can only hope that the people of the world realize what must be done - and begin at once to do it.  Not a second must be lost.  Every teacher, every professor, every social worker now has a job that surpasses in importance that of any other man on earth.  Trully the meek have inherited the earth!  Now we will see if they are capable of preserving it.
