Louis Miller Six ninety-five N. River Rd. Manchester, N.H. January 30, 1947 $5- [illegible] Committee of Atomic Scientists Princeton, N. J. Gentlemen:-- A few days ago I received a mailing from your committee, together with a request for funds. I have, however, mislaid or lost this material before I had the opportunity of making out a check. I enclose a small contribution which I trust will be of some help towards your program. It has occurred to me that you might be interested in presenting a speaker to a Manchester audience on this subject. I am program chairman for the Manchester Kiwanis Club for Monday, February 24th, and am desirous of obtaining a good speaker for our regular weekly noon luncheon on that date. Our club is composed of over one hundred business and professional men, some of whom are important leaders in local and state affairs. No doubt your committee has among its members scientists at Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, both of which are fairly near Manchester; and perhaps you could arrange for a speaker from either of these two institutions to appear before our group. Would you kindly advise at your earliest convenience what can be done in this matter? Sincerely yours, Louie Miller LM:LEA
