My aunt, Anne [Hinchman?], has passed on to me your letter asking her for funds for your vast educational task. Enclosed is a small check, which I hope may be followed by another, later.
On New Year's Eve, 1946, Dr. Stuart Mudd of the University of Penna. told a [dozen?] of us who were guests at his house that the meeting of world-renowned scientists (including yourself, Dr. Urey,
