ALFRED W. BOORAEM CLINTON NEW JERSEY

July 1 46.

Albert Einstein, Chairman, 90 Nassau Street, Princeton, N.J.

Dear Professor,

Replying to your letter of June 15, I enclose a contribution in support of the efforts of the Scientists Committee. It is all I can afford at the moment. If living costs remain reasonable, I shall be glad to add to it later in the year.

As I see it,in the atomic bomb, we have developed force to the ultimate , and are faced with the absurdity of reliance on force as a method of survival.

The Nation (June 29, 46 p 772) ,aptly states " In the modern world national armaments and national " sovereignty give no guaranty of security- period."

The alternative is Federation and the recognition of the natural Law of Community,

I enclose copies of a letter and a memorandum on the subject explaining my views.

Wishing you success I remain,

Sincerely,

(Signature) Alfred Boorhaem
