Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Construction of the Kerr Library, 1962. Librarian William H. Carlson and Assistant Librarian Rodney K. Waldron both had a hand in the groundbreaking of the Kerr Library building along with building Architect King Martin (left) and Dean of Administration Milosh Popovich (right). Carlson served as University Librarian during an era of explosive growth at OSU (1945-1965) which necessitated the need for more space to house the Library's expanding collections. After Carlson's retirement in 1965, Waldron served as Director of OSU Libraries until 1984.
