Scope and Content Note

Agriculture Today is a student newspaper for the College of Agricultural Sciences, partially funded by the Jackman Foundation and produced in cooperation with the Journalism Department. It includes news about instructional and research programs within the College as well as student activities. Publication began in 1970 as a mimeographed newsletter titled Ag News "n" Notes. The publication format changed to a 4-8-page tabloid on newsprint in 1975. It was published up to 9-10 times per year through early 1978. Beginning with the Fall 1978 issue, it was published once per academic quarter.

The College of Agricultural Sciences Records (RG 158) include extensive materials pertaining to the academic and research programs of the College. Previous publiciations prepared by students in the School of Agriculture include the Oregon Countryman and the Agricultural Journal.
