Women dancing in May Day Pageant, 1925. May Day pageant, which was held outdoors in the Library quadrangle or on lower campus.
This collection consists of photographs of May Day pageants. One of the images is a panoramic print showing the pageant cast with lower campus and downtown Corvallis in the background. The other images show women dancing, the May Queen and her court in the bandstand, and the Queen and her court parading on the Library quadrangle.
New Accession, 2008
The collection includes one panoramic print and 3 8x10 prints. All of the prints are adhered to the cover glass with which they were framed for many years. A copy negative and laser print (from copy negative) have been made of the panoramic print. Another print of the view of women dancing is available in the Women's Athletics Photographic Collection (P9:43).
Because the images are affixed to glass, access is limited.
The OSU Archives holdings also include College of Health and Human Performance Records (RG 31). Other images of May Day pageants are available in Harriet's Collection (#31), the Alumni Relations Photographs (P 17), the Women's Athletics Photographic Collection (P 9), the Panoramic Photographs - Specialized Inventory, and many other collections.
