“Glory Road and the Desegregation of College Basketball: The Untold Story at Oregon State”

This event shared the untold story of the desegregation of the Oregon State men's basketball team, circa 1965. The afternoon began with a presentation by Dr. Dwaine Plaza and Natalia Fernández on the history of college basketball desegregation both nationally and at OSU. The event also featured a discussion among panelists Norm Monroe, Charlie White, Paul Valenti, Craig Robinson and Dr. Larry Griggs, as moderated by Dr. Dawn Wright. Sponsored by the Association of Faculty for the Advancement of People of Color, the Varsity O Club and the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Affairs.
