The James F. Bishop Papers were generated and collected by Bishop during his career as an Extension Agent with the Oregon State College Extension Service. Bishop graduated from Oregon State Agricultural College in 1934 with a B.S. in Agricultural Technology and worked in the Oregon State College Extension Service from 1943 until 1956.

Statement on Access: Collection is open for research.
Statement on Description: When the collection was processed in 1998, most of the materials received in the original donation were dispersed to other collections of Extension Service records and publications. Several photographs of City of Salem 4-H club activities were transferred to the 4-H Photograph Collection (P 146).
